‘We Love Biscuits’ Collection By Didess Wins The Golden Tavola 2016

The Gouden Tavola (Golden Tavola) competition recognises the best innovations in food and helps to shape the products that consumers will be eating or drinking tomorrow. This competition is organised in connection with Tavola, the trade fair for fine and fresh food products that will be held on 13, 14 and 15 March at Kortrijk expo. For this edition, 107 products were submitted by 67 different contestants.

The flavour, innovation, packaging, marketing… of each product was assessed by the jury. For each of the 4 categories, the jury picked the winner of the Gouden Tavola and 2 nominees.

The 4 categories are Delicatessen, Retail, Foodservice and Traiteur.

The ‘We love biscuits’ Collection landed a first nomination in the category Delicatessen.

They are delicate, crispy little biscuits that come in a range of flavours, colours and shapes, made with a unique baking process. Available in chocolate, raspberry, pistachio and almond flavour. Top-quality premium biscuits made with real butter, almond paste and free range eggs, presented in a deluxe white tin. Serve our biscuits with coffee or tea, incorporate them into your pastries or café gourmand or as decoration for your desserts.

At the trade fair, in Hall 5, the 3 best products from each category will be presented and visitors will have an opportunity to taste them. Visitors to the trade fair can cast their vote for one of the 12 winning products. After Tavola 2016 is over, the product with the highest score from the visitors will receive the Gouden Tavola Publieksprijs (Golden Tavola public’s favourite prize).
